CLEAR Student Voice Overview
CLEAR Student Voice guides and amplifies students’ perspectives and lived experiences by way of the CLEAR Model, National Urban Alliance (NUA) strategies as well as leadership, identity development and consciousness building. We are intentional about the process of (re)creating a students relationship with education and creating space for students to see themselves in both the curriculum and structures of the educational system which serves them. One way that CLEAR Student Voice does this is by highlighting the importance of student engagement and the impact on making actionable steps to close the opportunity gap. CLEAR Student Voice provides lessons that are fully engaged with a student’s race, culture, and identity.
Students engage with interactive curriculum and utilize the formative assessment data to measure the growth of the students’ consciousness, students’ self-realization and ability to increase leadership opportunities in real time with having expectations and accountability increased.
CLEAR Student Voice provides educators a space to embed the CLEAR model directly in the lessons in a creative, engaging, as well as insightful manner.
