Series 1: “Let’s Get CLEAR About The Pedagogy of Confidence®”
Featuring expert Dr. Yvette Jackson
Oct 8; Nov 5; Dec 10, 2025

Yvette Jackson is internationally recognized for her work in assessing and actualizing the learning potential of disenfranchised urban students. Changing this reality for these students to one in which their intellectual potential is believed in, valued, and optimized has been Dr. Jackson’s calling for her entire career. She has applied her research in neuroscience, gifted education, literacy, and the cognitive mediation theory of Dr. Reuven Feuerstein to develop integrated processes that engage and elicit high intellectual performance from underachievers. She designed the New York City Board of Education’s Gifted Programs Framework when she served as Director of Gifted Programs. As New York City’s Executive Director of Instruction and Professional Development, she led the creation and implementation of the Comprehensive Education Plan, which maximized the delivery of all core curriculum and support services in the Public Schools of New York City.

Series 2: “Let’s Get CLEAR About Thinking Friends®”
Featuring expert Dr. David Hyerle & **a Practitioner Panel
Feb 4;  Mar 4; **Apr 15, 2026

David Hyerle is an educator and researcher who developed the Thinking Maps methodology, and he is a co-developer of the Thinking Friends program for early childhood education. Thinking Friends is a visual tool that adapts the cognitive processes behind Thinking Maps for younger children. Hyerle created the Thinking Maps model in the late 1980s based on his experience as a middle school teacher and his research at UC Berkeley and Harvard. The program provides students with a common “visual language” for thinking and organizing information.

In 2023, following two decades of global use of his visual learning tools in K–12 education, Dr. David Hyerle approached Jared McClure with a new visual language code for thinking. Inspired by Ray Kurzweil’s How to Create a Mind, the concept immediately captured Jared’s attention: he recognized that the visual patterns produced by David’s code closely mirrored the architecture of neural networks in artificial intelligence and offered a universal approach to adding a cognitive layer to AI.
